Sometimes, our bodies go through different stages of life where our hormones can get a little out of balance. This is a natural process that can happens to anyone.

Furthermore, if you don’t get enough vitamins and minerals, your body might be unable to make and control hormone production.
4. Environmental factors
Our environment nowadays has a lot of chemicals that can affect our hormones. These are called endocrine-disrupting chemicals, or EDCs.
You can find these chemicals in things you use every day, like plastic items, cleaning products, makeup, and bug sprays.
These can mess with your endocrine system, keeping your hormones imbalanced. Many things that can harm our health are in plastic containers, like bisphenol-A (BPA), and personal care products, like phthalates.
These substances can cause problems with your reproductive system, thyroid, and development.
5. Lack of Movement/Exercise
Exercising regularly for your physical health and keeping your hormones balanced is essential. It helps your body control insulin levels, reduces stress, and supports healthy hormone production.
Sedentary lifestyles and lack of physical activity can contribute to weight gain, insulin resistance, and imbalances in sex hormones.
6. Lack Of Proper Sleep
Getting enough sleep is really important for our health and happiness. It does more than just help us feel rested and refreshed. Getting enough good sleep is really important for your body to work properly.

When cortisol levels are too high, it can affect other hormones like insulin, estrogen, and progesterone. This can cause problems like weight gain, trouble with insulin, irregular periods, and changes in mood.
Also, not getting enough sleep can affect the hormones that control your appetite? These hormones are called ghrelin and leptin. When you feel hungry, it’s because of a hormone called ghrelin.
And when you feel full, it’s because of another hormone called leptin. We may feel more hungry than usual when we don’t sleep enough. This is because a hormone called ghrelin increases and makes us crave high-calorie foods.
Simply put, when our hormones are not balanced, it can affect how we feel physically and emotionally. Hormonal fluctuations are normal, but some things can affect our hormone balance.
Knowing what can cause hormonal imbalances, like getting older, feeling stressed for a long time, not eating well, items in the environment, and not moving enough, can help you take control and do something to balance your hormones.
